This week we have not just 1 but 5 apps for you!!
As its a new year we thought we would put together some apps that encourage healthy living (you know, new year, new me, right?) So whether you want to give up smoking, run faster, sleep better or lose weight, these are the apps for you.
1. Nike +
This very clever app from Nike helps you to run for longer and faster. It colour codes the path you took while running, on a map, using GPS, to show when you were running at your strongest and similarly at your weakest. You can even connect it to your Facebook profile to share your progress with your friends, and with every 'like' your post receieves you'll hear a little cheer...just to edge you on a little bit further!
2. Sleep Cycle
We think its fair to say that nobody likes to be woken up by a loud, annoying sounding alarm, so here we have Sleep Cycle. This clever app can sense when your in the lightest phase of your nights sleep and wakes you with a gentle sound, helping you to wake up feeling relaxed. It monitors your sleep every morning with a motion sensor which you can compare over time. With options to add if you had a stressful day in the office or drank a little too much coffee the day before, Sleep Cycle can analyse these factors to ensure you know what is keeping you from your 8 hours sleep.

3. Smoke Free
If your planning to give up smoking in 2015 then this is the app for you. The app allows you to keep track of the days you've gone without a cigarette and how many cigarettes you have not smoked. And that's not the best part...the app totals how much money you've saved as a result of ditching the smoke! You can also enter when your cravings hit allowing you to identify the triggers.
4.My Fitness Pal
Want to shift a few pounds this year? Scientists have proven that people lose weight quicker when they track what they eat. My Fitness Pal allows you to enter your start weight and what your goal weight is, it then works out how many calories you should consumer per day to reach that target in the time frame you have selected. Simply add the food you have eaten from the database of over 4,000,000 foods or scan the bar-code on the packaging, to simply update the calories you are eating and drinking. Reach your goals in a simple way, fast!
Many believe that meditation is the key to a more relaxed lifestyle, but not many of us have the time to meditate for half an hour a day, or even know how to! Former Buddhist monk, Andy Puddicombe, has developed Headspace the app to make meditation simple. It guides you through ten minutes of breathing and mindfulness, claiming to guide your mind to a happier, healthier, more enjoyable life.
